Nutracid InteStim | Better growth through more efficient nutrient utilization

The growth promoting effect of certain antibiotics is mainly attributed to their antimicrobial activity. There are indications that their beneficial effect is also partly due to their anti-inflammatory properties. Dietary supplementation of natural anti-inflammatory compounds is therefore a promising alternative to antimicrobial growth promoters...

Anti-inflammatory products

Under normal physiological conditions most nutrients in feed are directed towards growth. The immune system is only moderately active and therefore requires little energy and nutrients. During infection, the immune system is triggered and consumes more nutrients, which comes at the expense of the zootechnical performances. In this case, it’s recommended to supply anti-inflammatory products to the feed in order to hold the immune system under control and to reduce waste of energy and nutrients.

Rumen protected products

To obtain an optimal supplementation of essential nutrients (choline, methionine, lysine, B-vitamins,…) in dairy cattle it is very important to protect these nutrients against microbial degradation in the rumen. Thanks to state-of-the-art micro-encapsulation technology, tiny droplets of the essential nutrients are embedded in a matrix of vegetable triglycerides. After degradation of the fat matrix by pancreatic lipases the nutrients are released where they’re needed the most.
